Krystalynne "Krys" Rayna Rivers d'Avenger's Brief History

Krystalynne Rayna Rivers, as she was born, walked the path of the priesthood after being orphaned to the church at age three. She followed the path of the God Severan faithfully for many years. As she neared her early twenties, Krys began to understand that she did not fit in with her priestly bretheren. She was a bit louder, rowdier and cared more for liquor than did twelve male dwarven priests together!

One day while going about her priestly duties in town, she stumbled across a pirate captain named Marzak. He and his merry men were going about on one of their tavern raids; looting, drinking, raping, and pillaging along the way. Marzak bought her a drink at the local tavern, and beseeched her to join his crew. They were in dire need of a healer...an ally to help them in their voyages. He brought her to the docks and showed her his ship. Her eyes turned to the sea and she felt the call...the pull...the need to be out there. So she agreed to join his crew and gave up her priestly ways to serve the pirates.

From that day forward, she has been a faithful pirate, following some of her worlds most notorious and feared captains. Each one she has served faithfully...and she continues to do such to this day. Her soul feels at rest amongst her pirate family, and her mind at ease at not having to pretend she is something other than what she is.

A few years back she discovered that her mother was a drow that was raped by a pirate, and she has a half brother (from her mother) named Stilter d'Avenger. She took Stilter's last name once they met, feeling an instant kindred to her previously estranged brother. Krys has had no children of her own, and claims that there is no place for children on the sea or with a beer.

While her lifestyle is rather loose and her morals much to be desired, she still lends a helping hand to those in need; but her shipmates' calls for help come before anyone elses. You can find Krys hanging out in the lounge or the tavern. She is usually the center of the commotion in the room. Her demeanor is either loved or hated by all...there is no in between. A bottle of Thorogood is her favorite drink, while beer (being more convenient to find in most worlds) is certainly a close second.

She has made her way to RhyDin and settled down with a new crew to reap her own brand of high seas terror, plundering, and humor.

I just know that I bitched and moaned to a few folks over the years that I had no pirate pictures (particularly of women who looked like pirates), and people started sending me this crap.
